I am 17 years old and I was just wondering if I'm too old to be making cards for all my uncles and aunts. At what age should I switch to buying cards and gifts or is making fine? I don't want to come across as too childish to them, but I do want them to know that I've put in time and effort into their card.
What do you think?
Oh and lately, I've started writing poems in their cards.

Well, me and my friend want to make cards for our other friends, and maybe a few strangers. We want them to be really offbeat.
We were thinking about printing pictures of people's faces (just random faces), and attaching candy to them, and handing them out, or making heart shaped clouds and handing those out, but any suggestions would be nice!

I have always felt that thank you cards are proper etiquette for any party, whether it be baby shower, wedding shower, birthday party, graduation gifts, retirement gifts whatever. But I am shocked at some of the answers from one of my contacts questions. Some of them have said that it's only necessary to thank the person to their face, but not send a card. I've always thanked the person in person and also sent a card later on...is our culture getting away from proper etiquette these days...I mean I can't even get rsvp's from people anymore?
