i am 19 (turning 20 in may) have a full-time job making 9.25 a hour and go 2 school. i dont necessarily NEED a credit card since i believe cash is a lot better. but i want 2 build my credit so i can buy a house/cars later on. i am being promoted soon and will be making almost 22$ a hour so it will not be a problem making payments. i have a savings account at wamu. how would i go about getting a credit card?? i dont care about the limit or whatever i just need 2 build my credit
i was also told before that have a criminal record affects your credit. i was arrested at 18 on a felony charge of possession of narcotics with intent 2 sell but all charges were dropped. would that still hurt me??

I really hate sending Birthday cards, Anniversary cards, and Christmas cards. I really wish my relatives would stop sending these cards since I don't have time to go shopping and spending 1/2 hr looking for just the right cards.

My dad and grandmother are upset with me because I "forgot" their birthdays. I have the cards sitting at home next to my computer but never got around to sending them. I just feel my life is too hectic as it already is, and cards are just one more inconvenience.

    Anyone have a solution?

I recently dined a Chinese Buffet with a friend. The total was .60, which I paid with a debit card. I added a .00 tip on the receipt, making the total .60
However, when I looked on my bank account today, it said that I spent .60. Okay, so it's only .00, but does that mean the cashier added more money to get more of a tip??

I am trying to find the rights of tipped employees. Specifically, waitstaff and persons making tipped minimum wage. (2.25 an hour)
        I am in Texas.
The restaurant owner that I work for is keeping credit card tips and wanting to pay them on a payroll check the following week. I have never worked for a business that has done this. Is it legal?
        Thanks in advance.

I am not questioning the need to pay taxes, I am questioning whether it is legal for an employer to keep back tips for a week in his bank account and pay them later to an employee.

We have cash to settle with the servers at the end of the shift, but he is wanting to keep his cash flow in check. So he keeps our tips and uses them until his bank posts the credit card batch monies.
