I am making cards for my secret pal this year. I don't want to make them on the computer (I don't mind printing things just not the whole card), and I don't want to buy them (I have my reasons!!!). I need some things I can print off line or ideas to make a card. Any websites you can find would be fantastic. Thanks. I hope this makes a little bit of sense.

How does a waitress or waiter get the tip when I put it on a credit card? Is there a standard industry practice (in the US) as to how it is done or does it vary from restaurant to restaurant? Any idea what the most common practice is?

If you're a server, do you prefer cash over credit card tips or does it make any difference? Anyone prefer tips left on credit cards?

Please only answer this question if you've been a server or restaurant manager/owner/employee in the past three years. I'm looking for the most current practices.
Thanks for the answers so far. This began as a debate with my sister, who says most servers greatly favor cash tips -- even when you're charging the rest of the meal -- because they don't have to declare them on their taxes. Besides the fact that I think everyone should have to pay their far share of taxes, I also wonder whether this attitude is really widespread. Among waiters and waitresses, are charged tips looked down upon? I also know that among purchases in general, people tend to spend more when they charge than when they pay cash. I wonder if charged bills generally have bigger tips than bills paid with cash. Anyone notice that trend? Or the opposite?

this tutorial walks you throught the process i go through to make a greeting cards, which i later send off to family members. Im aware there are a few skipped steps such as combining green and black to make the pine tree then adding white on top of it to resemble snow . We were short of time on the recorder and ( stubborn me )tried to fit in this spraycasso project. However i feel i've covered these steps before in other painting tutorials so you guys wont be too lost ;) hope you guys try this tutorial this coming holidays. i garantee your cards will be VERY original
